Later after Virat went back to pavilion, it was Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur who took the charge and gave a jaw-dropping performance together.
Shardul Thakur played a stunning knock as a tail-ender and helped his team beat the visitors by four wickets in the team’s run-chase of 316. Shardul Thakur remained calm even in the nerve-wracking situation. He smashed a six and two boundaries.
Virat Kohli, the skipper of the Indian cricket team was so impressed with his knock that he took to his Twitter and praised the Mumbai based cricketer with a tweet in Marathi, his local language. Virat Kohli also shared a picture of him with the Mumbai based star. Praising Shardul Thakur for his performance, he wrote:
