Both the youngsters have accepted the huge onus put on their shoulders and are reciprocating with perfection the trust invested in them by the team management.
In the last ODI against New Zealand at Kanpur the Kiwis were gifted a close defeat by India both, in the match as well as the series. Albeit Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a really hard outing at Kanpur and proved out to be amply costly but Bumrah bowled impressively and even bagged a record.
With 50 ODI wickets in 28 games he became the second fastest bowler for India to take 50 wickets in One Day Internationals. The record for being the fastest to 50 wickets rests with Ajit Agarkar.
All in all both of these bowlers despite a few off games are going strength to strength and are leading the pace attack with great efficiency and enthusiasm. The pair seems to bowling with each other and they’ve worked hard to make any batsman fear facing them.
Before this series with New Zealand we had the Aussies visiting us and were sent back with a 4-1 defeat in the ODI series. The Australian Captain, Steve Smith too said that this pair is the best in business. (Of course he would know it after that defeat)

The flamboyant opener who was the man of the match at Kanpur for his hefty knock of 147 said that Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar are the best death bowlers in world.
He lauded them for their contribution to India’s success in the limited formats and was all claps for both of these young speedsters who have made life tough for the batsmen.
Rohit Sharma said, “I think we have the two best death bowlers. If you look at the last series against Australia, the way they have bowled, you have to praise them a lot. Because if you look at Australia’s batting, with their power hitting these were the two bowlers who got us back most of the times.”

Their form is a very important factor if India wants to do well in limited-overs cricket. Death bowling is one area in which Indian bowlers have suffered in the past but these are doing a great job for Virat Kohli and Team India.
