Mumbai Indians Women got off to yet another strong start in their third WPL’s match against Delhi Capitals Women as their star spinner Saika Ishaque struck early in the powerplay. Saika, who has been in some sensational form in the ongoing tournament, Ishaque significantly changed the course of the game and brought Delhi to the verge of collapse.
Saika Ishaque Continued Her Red-Hot Form
Delhi Capitals were attempting to resume their innings when Ishaque quickly ended the threatening Shafali Verma’s batting during the power play. Saika gave a strong start to the side as Shafali Verma was sent home with just two runs after six pitches when she was cleaned up by Saika early in the powerplay.

Shafali’s wicket came as a significant victory for Mumbai as she and captain Meg Lanning has been in good touch in the tournament so far.
However, the team decided to recover and get past the 100-run mark. But when things started to look good, Saika once again gave a jolt to Delhi as she struck once again as she cleaned up Rodrigues before picking up the prized wicket of DC-W skipper Meg Lanning.
In the 13th over of the game, Saika dismissed both set batters Jemimah Rodrigues and Meg Lanning to push Delhi to the brink of a collapse.
Saika, who made a sensational start to the game, continued to cause trouble to Delhi when she was recalled in the 13th over of the game. The spinner successfully removed Jemimah Rodrigues this time with a similarly flighted delivery. The ball crashed into the top of the off stumps as Jemimah attempted to cut it away but failed.

Saika’s next victim was Meg Lanning, the captain, who was once more looking well for her team. Ishaque bowled a full delivery, which invited Lanning to step out and knock it over the covers, but she did not get all of the bats because Harmanpreet Kaur easily caught the misfired ball.
