He’s often seen in the training nets wearing a white thigh pad with someone’s signature on it. Whose signature is it if not Anushka’s? The autograph seen on the white thigh pad which you can see Virat Kohli wearing here is of Steve Remfry. Now you’d be wondering who this man is! Well, Remfry and his team has been providing custom made thigh pads, arm guards, chest guards and shin guards for stalwart cricketers since 1987. The likes of Shane Warm, Graham Gooch, Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar too have used Remfry gears. So, now you know what that signature is about.
Kohli seems to have taken a liking to these customised gears and we have learned that he has placed orders for more pairs. For one last time, sorry Bollywood fans for its not Anushka’s autograph 😀
