Funniest Memes On RCB’s First Win Of WPL 2023 After 5 Losses

Finally, after L L L L L, the RCB fans can see the W as the Smriti Mandhana-led side won their first match of the WPL 2023 and opened their account in the tournament, keeping their hopes for a 3rd place finish alive with a 5-wicket victory over UP Warriorz at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday.

Amongst the RCB fans, following this hard-fought victory, there was a huge wave of emotion, excitement, and happiness as RCB, after suffering 5 losses in their first 5 matches of the WPL 2023, finally get their first win of the season.

And they had to fight hard for this win as the UP Warriorz spinners made a match out of a below-par total of 135.  For a change in the tournament, this wasn’t a high-scoring game; the pitches at both venues are now slowing down and the bowlers age getting more purchase from the surfaces

Mandhana again won the toss and elected to bowl first and RCB pacers were on fire initially. Given the new ball for the first time in the tournament, Sophie Devine struck twice in the first over, including taking the wicket of Healy. From the other end, Megan Schutt dismissed Tahila McGrath before leg-spinner Asha Shobana picked two wickets.

Grace Harris (46 off 32) continued her good batting form and was assisted by Deepti Sharma (22 off 19) as UP finished with 135.

Mandhana continued her woeful form and was dismissed for a duck by Deepti after Harris had got rid of Devine. Perry, RCB’s best batter, too, failed today with the bat, out for 10, before Knight was dismissed, and after the 9th over, RCB, at 60/4, seemed to be heading toward another loss.

Then, came a big partnership in the careers of Richa Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja with the latter being very impressive and now making her mark. The duo got regular boundaries and also were smart with their running between the wickets, not leaving any opportunity of sneaking a single.

Their partnership of 60 (46) effectively sealed the match for RCB. Ahuja scored 46 off 30 while Richa remained till the end, 31* off 32, to see RCB over the line.

Emotions spread across the RCB dugout to the crowd at the DY Patil to the millions of fans on social media, who even made some funny memes on this occasion of RCB winning their first match of WPL 2023.
