Returning to the side after missing the previous game due to a niggle, Trent Boult straightaway provided RR with a breakthrough in the first over against GT, at the Narendra Modi stadium, on Sunday evening.
Trent Boult dismissed Gujarat opener Wriddhiman Saha, caught and bowled. But it was in a hilarious manner that Saha’s dismissal occurred. There were 3 other RR fielders involved in the dismissal of Saha before RR Speedster completed the catch.
The ball from the left-arm Kiwi seamer swung in a little bit and Saha was early into his flick shot and hence got the leading edge of the bat.

The ball flew high up in the air on top of the middle of the pitch. Three fielders – Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, and Dhruv Jurel – ran it to take the catch with Boult standing beside the pitch, waiting for the completion of the catch. Little did he know that the ball would fly to himself after all three of Samson, Hetmyer, and Jurel converged in the center of the pitch.
Samson got closest to the ball and got his glove, but because of Jural sliding below him and Hetmyer bumping into him, Samson got misbalanced and the ball popped out of his gloves, only for Boult, who was standing still, to be lucky as the ball came straight to him and he completed the catch, making up for hilarious scenes.
The video of this wicket has garnered plenty of attention and fans can’t stop laughing over it.
