Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, has been making a lot of news lately, all thanks to his brilliant performance in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Tendulkar has caught the attention of world cricket, who ended his long wait for an IPL debut on April 16, at the venue where Sachin played his last international match, donning the jersey for the only IPL team Sachin ever played for — Mumbai Indians.
Arjun Tendulkar Smashed A Stunning Six

After leaving an impression with the ball, Arjun got the opportunity to bat for the first time in the IPL 2023 in a thrilling game against Gujarat Titans. Arjun timed the first ball that he faced perfectly while playing a back-foot punch toward Point. Though, there was a score for a brace, but Nehal Wadhera chose to only run a single in a bid to have the strike back.
In the following deliveries, he was unable to have the ball in his sights for the big hit, but in the last over, he got the opportunity to smash Mohit Sharma’s short delivery for a tremendous Six towards the deep square leg boundary.
His first IPL batting innings ended with him being caught Out at the long-on fence on the fourth delivery of the Over. He went back with a score of 13 (9), including a stunning six.
Talking about the game, the Hardik Pandya-led defeated Mumbai Indians by 55 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium to win their 5th game of the season. They now sit second on the points table with 10 points to their name.
A collective batting effort saw them posting a mammoth total of 207 runs on the board. However, the GT bowlers stole the show with the ball as they managed to restrict the MI from chasing the target.
