Video: Ishan Kishan And Arjun Tendulkar Made Fun Of Shubman Gill

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill were involved in a hilarious friendly banter ahead of the mouth-watering clash between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans on Tuesday evening at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

The duo have become good friends having spent the past year or so together with the Indian team across formats. They are also room partners when they travel together with the national side.

Their friendship and camaraderie were evident in the funny slaps the duo gave each other when they met in Ahmedabad ahead of their match.

The Mumbai Indians uploaded a video with the caption “𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗖 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬”. In the video, Ishan Kishan is seen waiting for Gill to arrive out of the dressing room along with other players before cheekily slapping him. The GT opener is smiling and funnily, timidly slaps back to the MI opener before both hug it out. The other players of both teams can be smiling at the duo’s acts, including Arjun Tendulkar.

Shubman Gill had recently revealed how mischievous Ishan Kishan is when the two share a room on tours. Even though both are competing for an opening spot in Team India, their friendship has been admirable.

“Ishan always spoils my pre-match routine, he does not let me sleep. He uses his iPad without the airpods and watches movies at full volume. Then I swear at him to lower the volume or to put on the airpods. So, he tells me that I am the one who is sleeping in his room, so the rules are his. We fight everyday, this is my pre-match routine,” he said in an interview on bcci.tv.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans defeated Mumbai Indians by 55 runs

After Shubman Gill’s half-century (56 off 34), there were scintillating knocks from David Miller (46 off 22), Abhinav Manohar (42 off 21), and Rahul Tewatia (20 off 5) that propelled the Gujarat Titans’ total to 207/6 in 20 overs.

GT’s total proved too much for MI to climb down and eventually, in their bids to play attacking shots, one by one the Mumbai batters perished. Rohit Sharma scored just 2 runs today and was dismissed, caught and bowled, by Hardik. With this win, the Titans move up to the second spot in the points table with 10 points, same as CSK.
