“LSG Dropped Naveen-ul-Haq” – Virat Kohli Fans Are Celebrating On Twitter

There were a hilarious series of tweets from Virat Kohli‘s fans after the Lucknow Super Giants had dropped Naveen-ul-Haq for Sunday’s fixture against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Some said it was the fear of Virat Kohli while others posted pictures and videos of the RCB star meeting and shaking hands and chatting with the LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka. It was all in jest, and it was fun to see.

LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli had had a heated altercation during and after the LSG-RCB game in Lucknow before Kohli’s fight with Gautam Gambhir and the brawl ensued. Naveen-ul-Haq was fined 50 percent of his match fees while Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, for being involved in an ugly tussle, were fined 100 percent of their match fees.

After the match, and the tussles, Kohli was also seen shaking hands with the LSG owner, Sanjeev Goenka, and duo had a brief chat.

Then, against GT, LSG excluded Naveen from the playing XI. This was a tactical move from LSG. After losing KL Rahul to injury, LSG want to bolster their batting so brought in Quinton de Kock and replaced Naveen with an Indian bowler because of the limitations of the 4 overseas players rule.

This, however, led to RCB and Virat Kohli fans into making jokes about how it was the Virat Kohli effect and the price Naveen had to pay for being aggressive and disrespectful toward the RCB star.

Here are some of the tweets from Virat Kohli’s fans on Naveen-ul-Haq being dropped from LSG’s XI:

This exclusion of the Afghanistan pacer was a big call from LSG because in the absence of the injured Mark Wood, Naveen-ul-Haq had done well for LSG: in 4 bowling innings, he’s taken 7 wickets and maintained a brilliant economy of 6.12.

Against RCB, he’d taken 3/30, but it was when he came to bat, trying to win LSG the match, then he had a heated altercation with Virat Kohli.
