MS Dhoni is considered a demigod amongst his die-hard fans. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain’s legions of followers would give so much for a glimpse of their Thala.
Apart from his incredible feats and achievements as a cricketer, Dhoni’s coolness, attitude, temperament, and wits is also something that attracts fans toward him.
However, a recent video that has gone viral on social media puts Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a bad light among the fans. In this video, the CSK captain pushed at an anchor ‘rudely’ and ‘arrogantly’ when the anchor tried to get a word from Dhoni during CSK’s lap of honor at the Chepauk ground after their last league game at this venue.
“I was a die hard MS Dhoni fan But after watching this video, I’m shocked, how arrogant Dhoni is,” a fan tweeted with the video of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. “Shame on you Dhoni @msdhoni”

This video is spreading like wildfire on social media. While a section of fans have slammed MS Dhoni for his behavior with the anchor, the defenders of the CSK captain have defended Dhoni, saying that it was a friendly push from the 41-year-old and pressed on that Dhoni is on good terms with this anchor and hence he pushed him in a jovial way. Some said that maybe Mahendra Singh Dhoni had gotten angry with this anchor intruding in CSK’s lap of honor that they were doing for the Chepauk crowd.
Is IPL 2023 the last season of MS Dhoni?
Dhoni has remained mostly mum about his future in the IPL. CSK batting coach Michael Hussey claims that MS Dhoni is striking the ball very well while donning the finisher’s hat and could even go on for five more years in the IPL in this role!
“He’s still batting very well, is still motivated to coming into training and working on his game and hitting the ball well. We’ve seen he comes late in the innings and finishes things well.
“He’s still got the six-hitting ability, while he’s enjoying it and is contributing to the team then there is no reason why he can’t keep going for maybe another five years,” Hussey told reporters ahead of the game against Delhi Capitals, as quoted by news agency PTI.
CSK will face DC on Saturday afternoon in Delhi.
