Indian cricket Sanju Samson has given a positive news of his fitness himself, confirming that he’s regained his fitness and will soon be back in action.
Currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, where he’s been recovering from a knee injury, Sanju Samson took to his social media to give this pleasant news to his fans.
In the latest picture he uploaded, Sanju Samson posed with his cricket gear on, perhaps this picture was taken before or after a net batting session.
Sanju Samson captioned his post: “All set & Ready to go…”

Sanju Samson had suffered a knee injury while fielding in the first T20I against Sri Lanka on January 3. This knee injury came at an unfortunate time for Samson as he was set to feature in the white-ball matches against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, which he’s missed all but one.
Samson was the ruled out of 2 T20Is and 3 ODIs against Sri Lanka followed by 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against New Zealand.
In Samson’s absence, Rahul Tripathi made an impact by smashing 35 runs in 16 balls against Sri Lanka, showing great intent and aggression with the bat.
The likes of Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are being given opportunities at the top of the order in the T20I team while it could also have been Samson opening for India had he been fit.
Should Samson be declared fit by the NCA and the BCCI medical team, the BCCI selectors may draft in the squad for the remaining two T20Is against New Zealand. However, the medical team is unlikely to rush Samson back so soon.
In 2022, it felt like Sanju Samson was coming of age, as he performed superbly: in 5 T20Is innings, he had an average of 44, and more importantly, a strike rate of 158. In 9 ODI knocks in 2022, Sanju Samson averaged 71 at a strike rate of 105 – superb numbers for a middle-order batter.
