R Ashwin And Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Retire After IND vs IRE Squad Announcement: The Indian cricket team will tour Ireland for the upcoming T20I series after the completion of the ongoing India vs West Indies series. The IND vs IRE T20I series will observe three T20I encounters, that will take place in August 2023.

The Indian cricket team will lock horns against Ireland in a three-match T20I series on August 18, 20, and 23 at The Village Stadium in Dublin. The BCCI is yet to announce the squad for the upcoming tour.

While many young talents are expected to get included in the T20I squad for the Ireland tour, however, on the other hand, there are a few names who haven’t called the opportunities in the T20I for a long time now. These players might consider getting retired from T20Is after India vs Ireland T20I series.

R Ashwin And Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Announce Retirement Soon

India’s senior player R Ashwin is one of the players, who can announce his retirement after the India vs Ireland series. Ashwin last played in the shortest format during ICC T20 World Cup 2023, picking 6 wickets. However, his selection became the topic of discussion after India lost the semi-final to England by 10 wickets.

Later, Ashwin was snubbed for the T20I format. After the T20 World Cup 2022 debacle, it is highly unlikely that Ashwin will be back in the T20Is.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is another player who can announce his retirement after India vs Ireland series. Bhuvi was a regular member of the Indian squad till November 2022. He last played in the T20I series against New Zealand. However, he wasn’t considered for the T20I squad since the start of 2023.
