Even though Sanju Samson scored just 13 runs in today’s 5th T20I against the West Indies, the Kerala cricketer entered the list of batsmen with over 6000 T20 runs.
While Sanju Samson has featured in only 22 T20Is for India, he’s still managed to get to his milestone without a long career in international cricket. He’s been a seasoned campaigner in domestic cricket for Kerala and has been one of the biggest superstars in the IPL and for Rajasthan Royals in recent years, with his fan following shooting up in all parts of the world.
Not many Indian batters have reached the milestone of 6000 T20 runs, but Sanju Samson did today in Florida, where he got a loud cheer from the crowd when he entered to bat at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground.
Sanju Samson become only 13th Indian to score 6000 T20 runs

Sanju Samson had started this 5th T20I with 5998 runs in 245 T20 matches, scoring at an average of 28 and strike rate of 132, which is a good record to have, especially for someone who’s been said as being “inconsistent” and has not had the faith of two different team managements despite his talent, class, and abilities.
Samson plays a high risk of cricket because he looks to make maximum impact in the shortest amount of time – meaning that he prefers to have his strike rate up putting his batting average at risk, which is the ideal T20 bating template in modern cricket.
He’s smoked 3 centuries and 38 fifties in his shortest-format career so far.
