Meanwhile, in a huge boost for the Indian cricket team, Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the International cricket team and guided the team to a 2-0 series win against Ireland. Bumrah is now going to join Team India at the National Cricket Academy in their preparatory camp for the Asia Cup 2023.

Talking about Jasprit Bumrah’s return to the Indian squad ahead of Asia Cup 2023, Ganguly said:

“Bumrah was good in Ireland and it is a very good thing. He started his stint with T20Is and now in ODIs, he will have to bowl 10 overs. So with time, his fitness will get better,”

When asked about the exclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal from the Indian squad for the Asia Cup, Ganguly said:

“You can only have three spinners and I think they have done the right thing by picking Axar (Patel) because he can bat.”

Talking about the preparatory camp for Asia Cup 2023, the Indian cricket team-led by Rohit Sharma, will hold a training camp there beginning on August 24 before traveling to Sri Lanka, where they will play all of their Asia Cup games.
