The Asia Cup 2023 kicked off on Wednesday in Multan with Pakistan hosting Asia Cup debutants Nepal at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

A day before the match, senior India off-spinner R Ashwin engaged in a hilarious conversation with a fake account of Narendra Modi. This is the second time that R Ashwin has replied sarcastically to this parody Twitter account of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With Twitter (now X) allowing the Blue Tick to everyone who would pay for that, many users use the name of famous celebrities and add ‘Parody’ after the name to confirm that they are not the original famous personality. In this case, R Ashwin has now twice replied to the parody of Narendra Modi.

With the Asia Cup 2023 starting in Multan, Ashwin pointed out that former India opener Virender Sehwag had smashed a triple hundred in Test cricket in Multan.

R Ashwin tweeted: “Asia Cup begins today at Multan where @virendersehwag made a triple hundred, but for today @CricketNep fans can u fill me in about the exciting talents coming from your part of the world? #PAKvsNEP”

To this, the parody Narendra Modi account replied: “Nepal for the win, full support to them.”

Knowing that this is a fake account of someone impersonating the Indian PM, R Ashwin responded hilariously: “Yes sir, hope you get to watch the game amidst your busy schedule.”

Check out R Ashwin’s funny banter with PM Modi’s parody account:

Yes sir, hope you get to watch the game amidst your busy schedule🤞

This eked out plenty of laughter among the fans.

A few days ago as well, R Ashwin had given a sarcastic reply to this parody account on the event of the Chandrayan-3 success.

Sir how are you? I am so glad you replied to my tweet. I am honoured 🤩
