Former India skipper and the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is currently spending his time with his family and friends.

With no cricket in the immediate future for the 42-year-old, Dhoni had gone to the USA with his family for a long vacation. He recently returned to his home in Ranchi, where he is rehabilitating from knee surgery.

In the meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi recently posted a throwback picture on her Instagram. This photo is of MS Dhoni and Sakshi way back from August 2010, and were just a couple of months into their marriage. Dhoni and Sakshi had gotten married in July 2010 in a private ceremony in Dehradun, and this photo seems to be from one of their trips as a newlywed couple.

Sakshi captioned it: “timeflies”

Talking about MS Dhoni, the 42-year-old CSK captain underwent knee surgery in June this year, soon after taking CSK to their 5th IPL title in IPL 2023. In the IPL 2023 final, at Ahmedabad, CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in an epic final that went to the last ball with Ravindra Jadeja smacking a 6 and a 4 to lift CSK to their 5th trophy.

Dhoni himself also hinted that he will feature in next year’s IPL too, despite aging. To be completely fit for IPL 2024, he opted to have knee surgery about a couple of weeks after the completion of the IPL 2023 final. This would give him enough time to rehab and recover by the end of this year and start his training and net sessions later on.

He had retired from international cricket in 2020, over a year after he last played for India in the 2019 World Cup. He has, though, continued to play in the IPL for CSK.

About his return in IPL 2024, Dhoni had said, “The tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body, I have six-seven months to decide and it will be more like a gift from my side [to the fans]. It’s not easy for me but the way they’ve shown their love and affection, that’s something I need to do for them.”
