[IND vs AUS] Who Were The 4 Uncapped Players Celebrating India’s Series Win In Rajkot?

IND VS AUS

Team India won another bilateral ODI series when they defeated Australia 2-1 in the recently concluded IND vs AUS rubber. India won the first two matches of the series in Mohali and Indore but lost the third and last ODI in Rajkot.

While Australia were close to their full strength in Rajkot, India had a few players missing with Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Shardul Thakur rested. India lost the Rajkot ODI by 66 runs.

Nonetheless, India pocketed another bilateral ODI IND vs AUS series. Since the start of 2019, India have lost only two bilateral ODI series at home – both coming against Australia, in March 2019 and in March 2023 – while India won the rest 8 ODI series in India.

Rohit Sharma made a brilliant gesture when receiving the series-winning trophy: it was under KL Rahul that the team won the first two ODIs, so Rohit let KL Rahul receive the trophy and he didn’t touch it. Rahul had a smile on his face while receiving the trophy. He then took it to the other players who were waiting to celebrate.

In the pictures, fans also noticed four rather unknown and uncapped players who celebrated the series win with Team India players. These four players were wearing the Indian players’ jerseys, so they were not the support staff members, but fans couldn’t recognize their faces.

IND vs AUS: Who were the four players celebrating with Team India players?

The names of these four players are Dharmendra Jadeja, Prerak Mankad, Vishwaraj Jadeja, and Harvik Desai. These four play for Saurashtra and were called up to be with Team India in Rajkot to help them in carrying drinks and in fielding for the 3rd IND vs AUS ODI match.

Because of resting to a few players, and Ishan Kishan having viral, India only had 13 players available in their squad. So the BCCI called up these four local players, who were in the state, to help India especially in the fielding department.
