There was a time when young Rishabh Pant was being hailed as the future replacement for MS Dhoni. Over the years, Rishabh has emerged out as a star performer in the Indian Premier League. He has been an integral part of Delhi’s batting line-up. His aggressive batting style made him an ideal player for team India to use in the lower-middle order.

However, the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League turned from bad to worse for the keeper-batsman. Infact, his fitness has also come under the scanner of critics.

Recently, popular commentator and former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar opened up about the fitness of Rishabh Pant after he gave a brilliant reply to a Twitter user, who criticized the fitness of Rishabh.

It all started when a Twitter user asked Sanjay Manjrekar if BCCI is investing too much into Rishabh Pant. Responding to which, Mr. Manjrekar said that BCCI is investing less into Rishabh Pant now as he has been selected only for the Test squad in the upcoming tour to Australia. Sanjay Manjrekar wrote:

“As you can see less investment in him now. Finally it’s about consistent performances. Only in Test squad to Aus.”

He wrote:

“No sir. It’s more a mind thing than body. Fingers crossed.”
