The world’s number one ranked Test side — Team India was recently humbled by the New Zealand cricket team after they brutally defeated Virat Kohli led side in the first Test match by 10 wickets at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

The Kiwis dominated Team India throughout the series. The bowling trio of Trent Boult, Tim Southee, and debutant Kyle Jamieson gave India a nightmare with their impeccable performance as they bowled the team out below 200 runs in both the innings.
The Indian skipper Virat Kohli could only manage to score a total of 21 runs in Wellington extending his horror run in the ongoing tour. Virat Kohli scored  19, 2, 9, 15, 51, 11, 38, 11, 45 – across the nine international games that Virat Kohli has played in the ongoing tour, i.e, only 201 with a solitary half-century.

His performances in the ongoing tour have given all his critics an opportunity to troll the skipper for his performances. Amidst all the trolling and criticism, a Sri Lankan cricket fan named Daniel Alexander also took this as an opportunity to wind his hate for the Indian skipper.
Daniel took to Twitter where he quoted the numbers of Kohli in the ongoing tour but he also went on to say that Virat Kohli is overrated and praised the trio of Steve Smith, Babar Azam & Kane Williamson. He wrote:
“19, 2, 9, 15, 51, 11, 38, 11, 45 – Virat Kohli’s scores in New Zealand series 2020 (all 3 formats). #Cricket
Inns – 9
Runs – 201
Ave – 22.33
50 – 1
*Steve Smith, Babar Azam & Kane Williamson top three all format batsmen and score in all conditions. Kohli over-rated.”

Well, this isn’t the first time that Daniel has criticized Virat Kohli, he often comes out with filtered stats to show India and Virat Kohli in a bad light. But this particular tweet from him got extra attention.
This tweet of Daniel didn’t go down well with the former England fast bowler Alex Tudor, who slammed the Sri Lankan for his Tweet. Taking Virat Kohli’s side, Alex wrote:
“Overrated, are you just looking for people to hit up your timeline one bad tour & people coming for the great man.”
