Indian superstar cricketers Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul had a hilarious meet-up ahead of shooting an advertisement for the broadcasters of the IPL 2024 season.
The IPL fever has arrived among the fans and the cricketers as the 17th edition of the tournament gets underway on March 22 in Chennai, with defending champions Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, hosting Faf du Plessis’ RCB at Chepauk.
The broadcasters have been calling in the Indian star players to shoot advertisements and promos for the tournament. Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, two of the biggest names in Indian cricket, the captains of Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, respectively, met in a vanity van and had a small chat.
The duo discussed the roles they were playing in the advertisement. Rishabh Pant revealed that he is playing the role of a Sardar, before teasing KL Rahul about his association with the RBI banks. It was a fun meet-up, the bits of which Rahul uploaded on his Instagram.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Rishabh Pant has been given the green signal by the BCCI’s medical team at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru, to play in the IPL 2024, though it’s not yet clear whether he will do wicket-keeping.
Pant’s much-awaited comeback to cricket is nigh. He was involved in a near-fatal car accident in December 2022. Thankfully, he survived the accident and has since been recovering. His most major injuries from that accident were on his knees, for which he underwent multiple surgeries.
He is now set to make his return to professional cricket through the IPL 2024. He will lead the Delhi Capitals but is likely to play as a batter only in the first half of the season. Should Pant pick up form straightaway and be fit throughout the season, he could be in line for a direct comeback in the Indian team in the T20 World Cup as well.
