Abdul Razzaq, the former Pakistan all-rounder, is known for making controversial remarks every now and then. It was last year when Abdul Razzaq made every Indian cricket fan upset with his comments on Jasprit Bumrah. He had said that if he had been active in cricket till now he would not have any problem in facing India’s sensational bowler Jasprit Bowler, who is currently World’s no.1 bowler in ODI. He had said:
“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him. “After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him.”
Well, his statements had created a controversy with several cricketers and fans slamming the former Pakistani cricketer. Now, after creating a controversy, Abdul Razzaq has taken a U-turn from his controversial statements. Recently, during an interview, Abdul said that his statements were blown out of proportion. He said:
“I do not have anything personal against Bumrah. I was simply comparing him with the likes of Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram, Curtly Ambrose, Shoaib Akhtar. It would have been much tougher to face them. My comments were misconstrued,”

Furthermore, he also heaped on praises on Jasprit Bumrah and said that he is on his way to becoming a world-class bowler. He said:
“He is heading towards becoming a world-class bowler. But in our times, the bowlers were of much higher calibre. Not many can dispute that,”
