All The Trophies Won By Rohit Sharma As A Captain
The recent triumph in the Asia Cup final is just the latest achievement for Rohit Sharma, who has been a superb captain. Only two previous Indian captains, MS Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin, have won the Asia Cup more than once. Rohit joined their ranks with the resounding 10-wicket victory against Sri Lanka.
As a result of this win, Rohit is now firmly established as one of India’s most successful captains in the history of limited-overs cricket. After an outstanding run at the helm of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, he took over as India’s ODI captain in December 2021. Later on, he became the captain of India across all formats.
Although Rohit has not yet led India to an ICC title, he has led India to tremendous success in a number of other tournaments and series throughout his time in charge. Ten major finals have included him as captain, including six with the Mumbai Indians and four with India. Among the 10 championship matches, Rohit has won nine of them. His only loss was against Australia in the 2023 World Test Championship Final.
