Former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu was caught up in controversy when fake remarks attributed to him surfaced regarding Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad.
After CSK’s loss to Lucknow Super Giants, there were false reports quoting Rayudu criticizing Ruturaj Gaikwad for his field placements. However, these remarks were fabricated and not made by Rayudu.
Furthermore, reports claimed that Navjot Sidhu called for blaming MS Dhoni after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) conceded the highest successful run-chase in Chennai in the IPL.
Ambati Rayudu Slammed A Fan Over Fake Ruturaj Gaikwad Comment

According to the viral quote circulated on social media and by several media houses, Navjot Singh Sidhu took a dig at MS Dhoni following CSK’s defeat. He suggested that the former captain should shoulder some of the responsibility for the team’s subpar performance in the game.
Criticising Ruturaj Gaikwad, former CSK player Ambati Rayudu said: ” Poor field placements in deaths overs by Ruturaj. We clearly saw a lack of experience as captain”
Responding to this, Sidhu said: “If you credit dhoni for CSK wins then blame him for the losses too. Dhoni is still the main think tank.”
In response to these fake remarks circulating on social media, Ambati Rayudu promptly took to his social media platform (likely Twitter, formerly known as X) to call out the publication responsible for spreading the false statement.
“I was not even commentating on that day..I was at my farm picking mangoes..How do you get your news? Or do you fabricate whatever you feel like?” Rayudu tweeted.

Meanwhile, with eight points from eight games, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) remain contenders for the tournament’s knockout rounds. However, their recent losses to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), led by KL Rahul, have affected their playoff aspirations. LSG’s consecutive wins allowed them to move into fourth place with 10 points from eight games.
Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions, will look to bounce back when they face the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in their upcoming match on April 28th in Chennai. This game presents a crucial opportunity for CSK to regain momentum and strengthen their position in the standings as they strive for a playoff berth.
