It’s safe to assume that Sunrisers Hyderabad would be less than pleased with their performance in the opening innings of their tenth game of the 2023 Indian Premier League against Lucknow Super Giants. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost wickets at a steady clip after electing to bat first, with only Tripathi and Anmolpreet Singh posting respectable scores.
Anmolpreet got things going for the Sunrisers, but his dismissal by Krunal Pandya halted their momentum just as Lucknow established a commanding lead. Rahul Tripathi looked solid but was unable to keep batting for as long as was required, and the high run rate contributed to the batter’s dismissal.
They lost eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs, but the Sunrisers Hyderabad were still able to post a total of 121 runs thanks in large part to Rahul 34 runs batted in.
Krunal Pandya and Amit Mishra, both spinners, made significant contributions to the game by taking five wickets between them, with Krunal doing the most damage with three.

Unfortunately for Tripathi, his wicket was taken after a batsman, looking to clear the ropes, attempted an uppercut but missed because he hit the ball too low and it bounced more than he had anticipated.
Mishra, who was stationed perfectly at third man, made a spectacular diving catch to his left, ending Rahul’s inning and killing any last hopes for the Sunrisers.
The 122 runs on the board appear to be a very feasible target for Lucknow, as Kyle Mayers has been in fine form so far this season, scoring fifties in each of his previous two outings, and he will once again look to provide his team with a flying start to finish the game as early as possible to earn the boost in net-run-rate.
