Legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan is known to be a massive cricket fan. Famously known as the ‘Big B’, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen coming to the stadiums and watching matches in the IPL and India games, especially in an ICC event.

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan was quoted lavishing rich praises on India’s young 23-year-old opening batsman Shubman Gill, who has risen through the ranks in the past year or so to cement his place as Rohit Sharma’s opening partner in the ODI side, replacing the veteran opening and Rohit’s long-time opening partner Shikhar Dhawan.
Shubman Gill will be seen opening in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and the following World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill is currently gearing up for his first Asia Cup and World Cup tournaments as part of the senior India team. He was the Player of the Tournament in India’s victory in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup. India would be hoping for the youngster to rise to the occasion in the upcoming two events as well.
He has a terrific record in ODIs at the start of his career: in 27 ODI innings, Gill has scored 1437 runs at an average of 62 and strike rate of 104 with 4 centuries, including a double hundred.
