The first day/night match between India and Bangladesh ended in a great note, with India thrashing the Bangladeshi tigers by an innings. Team India registered its seventh consecutive win.
However, amidst the match, something happened that caught everyone’s attention. A heated banter took place between Indian commentators Harsha Bhogle and Sanjay Manjrekar while commentating.
Harsha Bhogle had said that players need to be asked about the visibility of the pink ball. But disagreeing with his statements, Sanjay Manjrekar took a sarcastic sly on him and said: “You need to ask perhaps, for us, those who have played the game, we have a fair idea of what’s happening out there.”
Amol Muzumdar, the legend of Domestic cricket joined in the debate and took a dig at Sanjay Manjrekar for his disrespectful words for Harsha Bhogle earlier in the day.
On Sunday, when Amol Muzumdar was doing commentary during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 match between Delhi and Haryana, he was asked about Rishabh Pant’s India career, Muzumdar said with a laugh: “How will I know? I have never played at that level.”
On Sunday, Rishabh Pant opened the innings for Delhi but he struggled to find runs, eventually getting out for 28 off 32 balls, in a chase of 182. And eventually, Delhi lost the match by 31 runs. Talking about Pant, he said:
“Pant is used to facing the express pace of India bowlers in the nets & international bowlers. How should he adjust to the lack of pace here?”
