West Indies’ swashbuckling all-rounder Andre Russell has been banned by the independent anti-doping tribunal. The three-member tribunal delivered the verdict in Kingston on Tuesday. Andre Russell was accused of failing to file his whereabouts on three occasions during a 12-month period, and this is why a commission was set up to look into the matter.
Andre Russell failed to file his whereabouts form on three occasions in 2015, which under WADA rules equate to one failed doping test. The sentence was handed down at the Jamaica Conference Centre on Tuesday morning.
