Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team is locking its horns with New Zealand in their second match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021. However, ahead of the crucial match, the Indian team management surprised everyone with the changes in the squad and team combination. KL Rahul walked out to open the innings with Ishan Kishan, while Rohit Sharma came out to bat at number 3.
While changing the batting order was a risk, everyone was expecting a fruitful result. However, the move didn’t quite pay off with the Indian openers. KL Rahul went for a biggie on the leg side and ended up getting dismissed cheaply.
During his knock, KL Rahul tried to hit some big shots and was looking in a good mood with the bat before he was dismissed. It was very unfortunate for the Indian side as his dismissal came at the wrong time.
Tim Southee bowled a very smart delivery to get rid of KL Rahul. The wasn’t a full pace deliver and was short as well, KL Rahul decided to take a risk as he thought he might get it over the fielder who was stationed somewhere between the fine leg and long leg position.
Meanwhile, the Indian fans were left disappointed with the poor performance of KL Rahul with the bat and started trolling him left, right and center. Angry fans even started calling him “IPL Bully” on Twitter.
