Here’s why Virat Kohli is getting trolled: Virat Kohli’s name was missing again as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in Harare from august 18.
Shikhar Dhawan To Lead Indian Side Against Zimbabwe

Well, on Saturday, BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the 3-match ODI series for the Zimbabwe series. Shikhar Dhawan, who recently led the Indian cricket team in the 3-match ODI series against West Indies, will helm the responsibility of captaincy in this series as well. Besides Virat Kohli, marquee players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya are also rested for the upcoming series.
Interestingly, Deepak Chahar, who has been out of action for a long time now because of an injury has made a comeback to the side.
For the unversed, Chahar picked up a hamstring injury during India’s home series against West Indies in February and has been out of action ever since. He had then injured his back at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Because of the same he had to miss the IPL 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Washington Sundar is also in the team with Rahul Tripathi also receiving his maiden call-up to the ODI team. Kuldeep Yadav also makes a comeback after an impressive home tour against South Africa. It has to be noted that this will be India’s first tour of Zimbabwe since 2016 with the previous tour’s result being a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series.
Team India’s squad for 3 ODIs against Zimbabwe:
