8th September 2022, Thursday night was a big day for the Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli and his family and fans as everyone celebrated Virat’s 71st international hundred at the Asia Cup 2022. Kohli made a stunning return to form as he smashed his 71st international century, ending his century drought that last for 1020 days. Though the game between India and Afghanistan was a dead rubber, however, it provided a huge reason to celebrate as Virat made a sensational return to form.

Virat Kohli, who was going through a rough phase in his career, finally broke his century drought as he smashed his maiden international century. He had scored his last international ton against Bangladesh in the pink ball Test match at Eden Gardens in November 2019.

During the game last night, Virat walked out to open the innings along with the stand-in skipper KL Rahul and took the game by storm. Virat Kohli reached the three-figure mark in 53 balls. He eventually played a blockbuster knock of 122* runs off 61 balls, including 12 fours and 6 sixes.

After his stunning performance, the former Indian captain dedicated his stunning knock to his wife Anushka Sharma, and daughter Vamika.  “I kissed my ring in the celebration as well. You see me standing here because of all the things that has been put into perspective by one person, who stood by me through all these difficult times – that’s Anushka. This hundred is dedicated to her and for our little daughter Vamika as well,”

Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with celebratory messages from cricketers and fans for Kohli’s return to form. However, one of the best posts came from Virat’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Anushka Sharma shared pictures of Virat Kohli from the big moment. Sharing the images Anushka wrote: “Forever with you through any and everything.”  In the comments section, Virat Kohli dropped heart emojis.
