After two impressive, tidy, economical games, Arjun Tendulkar finally got the taste of some battering in the IPL 2023. In the third over of his third match of the season, against Punjab Kings (PBKS), the left-arm seamer leaked 31 runs as Harpreet Singh and Sam Curran took down the pacer in a flurry of boundaries.
Arjun Tendulkar had continued to have a dream start to his IPL 2023 as he bowled a brilliant yorker to dismiss Prabhsimran Singh via lbw. Then it all came crashing down for young Arjun, who then was hammered for 3 fours and 2 sixes in his next over, which also included a no-ball for above waist height.
First, Sam Curran smoked a slot ball over long-off before Arjun Tendulkar bowled a wide and after that Curran got a thick outside edge for four near third mand. A single brought Harpreet Bhatia on strike who then went on a rampage on junior Tendulkar.
A four over mid-off, a six over deep backward square leg off a full toss, followed by another full toss which was around Harpreet’s shoulder height that he hit for another four, and completed the over, on a free-hit ball, Bhatia picked up the slower short ball and deposited it at the fine leg boundary. 31 runs from Arjun Tendulkar’s third over, and after that he wasn’t given the ball.
