It was raining sixes in Dubai International Stadium and this time it was the big hitter Kieron Pollard. Well, after witnessing the power-packed performance of Rahul Tewatia on Sunday in a match between KXIP and RR, the fans were delighted to witness another power-packed performance.
The talented all-rounder from the West Indies made everyone sit on the edge of their seats as he tried to turn the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on its head last night.
Chasing a total of 201 runs, Mumbai Indians tried to make a comeback after losing their first three wickets in quick successions with the help of Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan. Kieron Pollard’s fireworks coupled with Ishan Kishan’s attractive strokeplay brought the much-needed momentum in the back and turned the tables for their team.
Though, it didn’t come out effortlessly from Pollard as he scored 11 runs only from the first 10 balls he faced during his knock. However, during the 17th overs bowled by Adam Zampa, Pollard didn’t look back and rained sixes in the stadium. It was in the 17th over, Pollard smashed the Australian spinner for three fours and a six to collect 27 runs.
