Australia’s star opener David Warner played a historic knock against South Africa to announce his comeback into form. Warner, who was playing his 100th Test match, not just broke his 3-year century drought but also went on to register his 3rd Test double century. With his 25th Test century, and his third Test double century, Warner joined an elite list of players to have achieved the milestone and became just the 2nd Australian player after Ricky Ponting to score a century in his 100th Test. Also, with this knock, Warner became only the second batsman in history after Joe Root to score a double hundred in his 100th Test Match.

Warner was going through a rough patch in his career, especially in the longest format of the game, having registered 48, 21, 28, 0, and 3 in the six innings in the ongoing home Test summer. Disappointed with the series of failures, several former cricketers and experts questioned Warner’s place on the side.

Ahead of the game, he had vowed to return to his old self and he did just that as Warner made a powerful comeback During his knock, he brought stability in the innings as he formed an amazing partnership with Steve Smith and fought valiantly against SA. He smashed 200 from 254 balls, in an innings studded with 16 fours and 2 sixes. Warner went back to the pavilion after getting retired hurt.

Meanwhile, amidst his knock, during the drinks-break, Warner, who was batting all day in 35+ degrees was seen sitting on a plastic chair. The image of the same has been going insanely viral on the internet. Here, in this article, we bring you some of the best reactions on the viral image of Warner.
