Avesh Khan is joining the Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2024 after being traded for Devdutt Padikkal, who moved to the Lucknow Super Giants. Avesh previously played for LSG in IPL 2022 and 2023.
In IPL 2022, he took 18 wickets, but his performance dropped in 2023 with only 8 wickets. His most successful IPL year was in 2021 when he took 21 wickets. Avesh has been part of the IPL since 2017.
Avesh Khan Made A Hilarious Confession Ahead Of IPL 2024
Avesh Khan had a great IPL season in 2022, which earned him a debut for the Indian team in both ODI and T20 formats. Since then, he has played 8 ODIs and 20 T20Is for India. However, injuries have hampered his progress in international cricket.
Ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 season, Avesh Khan joined the Rajasthan Royals. He recently participated in a fun game called ABC hosted by a popular Instagram influencer. His first question was, “Who finishes off in style?” with options including MS Dhoni, KS Bharat, Papa ki belt, or Jonny Sins, which was the fun option in the question. Keeping a cool head himself, Avesh picked MS Dhoni as his answer, which fit the bill.
His second question was, “What would you find from his kitbag?” with options including a helmet, Nimbu Mirchi, a cheque of Rs 10 crores, or Gautam Gambhir’s contact number. Keeping the intensity of the question, he responded with option A helmet as his answer. The reference to this question was about the celebration that he did after throwing his helmet off after winning the match for LSG against RCB last year.
His response in a way led to the third and final question, which was whom Avesh Khan fears the most, with the options being no-ball, wide-ball, full toss, or the RCB fans.
Understanding the trick, Avesh Khan quickly responded that he fears the RCB fans the most, especially after winning the match against RCB last year. He recalled a moment when LSG needed one run off one ball, and he managed to run a bye with Ravi Bishnoi at the other end. However, he was penalized by the IPL for throwing away his helmet while celebrating after taking his team to victory.
