Babar Azam Wrote A Heartfelt Tweet Expressing Solidarity With India In Battle Against COVID-19: The 2nd wave of the dangerous Coronavirus is still raging across India with all the parts of the country reporting more fresh cases of COVID than recoveries. On Sunday, India reported over 300,000 new infections (352,991 cases to be exact) of COVID-19 for the fifth straight day, which took the total caseload to over 1.73 crores. Of these COVID cases, 1.95 lakh people have lost their lives due to complications arising because of the deadly infection.
The whole country is struggling badly to cope up with the ongoing 2nd wave of COVID-19 with the lack of oxygen, beds, ventilators, and whatnot. Saddened by the mass destruction of human lives and the current situation of India Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam has urged everyone in India to stay strong amidst the ongoing COVID-19 2nd wave.
Babar Azam took to his Twitter and shared a heartfelt post while extending his prayers and good wishes to the Indian citizens as the country continues to battle a steep rise in the Coronavirus cases.
In his tweet, Azam also said that it was time to show solidarity and pray together as India grapples with the Covid-19 crisis. He wrote:
“Prayers with the people of India in these catastrophic times. It’s time to show solidarity and pray together. I also request all the people out there to strictly follow SOPs, as it’s for our safety only. Together we can do it. #StayStrong”

Earlier, former Pakistani skipper Shoaib Akhtar also took to his social media and shared a video of himself, appealing to his fans in Pakistan to come forward and help India in tackling the ongoing coronavirus crisis. He wrote:
“India is really struggling with Covid-19. Global support needed. Health care system is crashing. Its a Pandemic, we are all in it together. Must become each other’s support.”
