[WATCH] Babar Azam’s Pakistan Team Enjoyed A Pool Party After Loss To India

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan team decided to have a dinner party beside a pool in Bangalore as a way to regroup and regel ahead of their important match against Australia.

After starting the World Cup 2023 with wins over Netherlands and Sri Lanka, Pakistan went down embarrassingly to India by 7 wickets, in which they were bowled out for 191, collapsing from 155/2 to 191 all-out.

They are currently positioned 4th in the points table with 2 wins in 3 games. Their next match is against Australia on Friday at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.

On Monday, the entire group led by Babar Azam had a group team dinner at a lavish hotel in Bangalore. Along with the players, the coaching staff was also spotted. The PCB uploaded the video of the Pakistan team’s poolside dinner.

While Pakistan will be heading into their next game on the back of a proper thumping by India, Australia have found life in their campaign with a 5-wicket win over Sri Lanka. Pat Cummins’ side had a tough start to their tournament with losses to India and South Africa, but this 5-wicket win in Lucknow over Sri Lanka could give them the impetus to launch a resurge in the tournament and aim for the semi-final.

Australia showed their strength and resilience with the ball against Sri Lanka. The Lankan openers had given them a solid start with a 125-run opening stand. But through the help of Adam Zampa’s four wicket haul, and inspirational two-wicket hauls by Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, Australia stormed back in the game to bowl Sri Lanka out for 209 runs.

Opener Mitchell Marsh slammed 52 runs in 51 balls, as he counterattacked after losing David Warner (11 runs) and Steve Smith (0 runs) early. After Marsh’s dismissal, Josh Inglish scored 58 runs, Marnus Labuschagne scored 40 runs and Glenn Maxwell’s cameo of 31 runs in 21 balls sealed the win for Australia, who had been at the bottom of the points table before this match.

Man of the Match Adam Zamp admitted that Babar Azam’s side will be a tough opponent. “We’ve got a big one against Pakistan in Bangalore next up. That’s going to be a tough one,” Zampa said.
