IND vs PAK: Former Pakistani Bowler Congratulates India With Jai Shree Ram Tweet

India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the historic IND vs PAK match for two points in the World Cup 2023 group-stage encounter. The game was witnessed by a 130,000-strong Indian crowd at the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India thrashed Pakistan by 7 wickets in a game that became a one-sided affair following Pakistan’s epic collapse from 155/2 to 191 all-out, losing 8 wickets for 36 runs. India captain and opener Rohit Sharma then blasted his way to 86 runs in 63 balls to all but seal India’s win.

Former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria congratulated Team India with a “Jai Shree Ram” tweet. For the unversed, Danish Kaneria is one of the only two Hindu players to have played for the Pakistan men’s cricket team at the international level.

Danish Kaneria uploaded his YouTube video on Twitter and captioned it: “Jai Shree Ram Congratulations to team India Click the link”

IND vs PAK: Rohit Sharma humiliated Pakistan’s bowling attack: Akhtar

Meanwhile, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said that Rohit Sharma “humiliated” the famed Pakistani bowling attack that included Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf. Rohit cracked 6 fours and 6 sixes in his blistering knock, including a straight six to Rauf. Rohit asserted his dominance from the first ball by flicking Shaheen for a four and got going from thereon.

“The kind of innings he played, he humiliated Pakistan’s bowling attack. He took revenge for the last two years when he didn’t get many runs. Good to see Rohit Sharma back, he did right to smash the bowlers. What’s the need to finish the game at the last overs and take it deep? Rohit hammered the bowlers,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.

Pakistan’s collapse in the IND vs PAK match was very difficult for their fans to digest, including Akhtar, who slammed them for their “disappointing” show with both bat and ball.

“Disappointing performance… a very disappointing performance. Today, India completely hammered Pakistan. Rohit Sharma was a one-man army. I don’t know where was Rohit Sharma in the last couple of years. He is a very big player and has a wide range of shots. He is a complete batter, a complete team,” Akhtar added.
