BCCI Gives A Mouth Shutting Order To Pakistan Regarding ICC Champions Trophy 2025

BCCI Gives A Mouth Shutting Order To Pakistan Regarding ICC Champions Trophy 2025: The India vs Pakistan game is always the most followed cricket game in the world. It is the mother of all rivalries and the fans from both sides are emotionally invested in the game due to the history between the two side. Currently, the point of discussion is the ICC Champions Trophy to be held next year in 2025. Pakistan is the official host of the tournament and they have already provided a probable list of the fixtures to the ICC.

They have designated Lahore as the venue where India will play all their games in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. However, as per reports, the Indian government has yet again denied giving the Indian Cricket team permission to visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy due to security reasons. BCCI will ask the ICC to organise the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in hybrid model with India’s game scheduled in either Dubai or Sri Lanka.

Team India has not engaged in any bilateral series with Pakistan since 2012-13 series. They last travelled to Pakistan in 2008. The stance of the Indian Government and BCCI has been resolute: Till Pakistan stops funding cross border terrorism, there will be no talk about bilateral cricket series or travelling to Pakistan.

Pakistan was also the host of the Asia Cup 2023. However, Indian government denied permission to the Indian Cricket Team for travelling to Pakistan. Hence, the tournament was held in a hybrid model, with India’s matches and the final held in Sri Lanka.

Addressing India’s stance, a BCCI source told ANI, “India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. We will ask the ICC to hold our matches in Dubai or Sri Lanka.”

“In the case of the Champions Trophy, we will do whatever the Government of India tells us to do. We send our team only when the Government of India permits us,” Shukla told ANI.
