BCCI’s President Sourav Ganguly Gave The Biggest Compliment To Stuart Binny: Indian cricketer Stuart Binny, who gave one of the most memorable performances in ODI history, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect yesterday. Binny has represented the Indian national cricket team in 6 Tests, 14 ODIs, and 3 T20Is. While he scored 194 runs in the purest format of the game, he scored 230 in ODIs and 35 runs in T20Is.
While his career may not have been a long Indian career but his contribution to domestic cricket has been huge, where he also has an impressive record. He has played 95 First-Class games in his 17-year career, picking 148 wickets and scoring 4,796 runs. Stuart has been a part of the Ranji Trophy-winning team in 2013-14.
On Monday, after Binny announced his retirement, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly showered praises on all-rounder Stuart Binny’s contribution to Karnataka cricket. Praising Binny, Ganguly said that Binny’s contribution to Karnataka cricket would be written in golden letters. He said:
“I would like to wish Stuart Binny all the very best for his future endeavours. He has had a long career. First-Class cricket is the base for a good international set up and Stuart has had an immense contribution in that. His contribution for Karnataka State Cricket Association, which has produced so many players of repute, will be written in golden letters. I wish him all the success in his life,”
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also heaped praises on Binny’s career, he said: “Stuart Binny has been a true servant of Indian cricket and the all-rounder has contributed heavily in the domestic circuit as well. His dedication and sincerity towards the game shall be an inspiration for the future cricketers who are looking to pursue the game. I wish Stuart good luck for the future.”
