The Indian cricket team is all set to tour England, followed by the much-awaited World Test Championship’s final and there are talks that the Virat Kohli-led team has a superb bowling attack. However, the playing squad has one name missing in their bowling attack and that is Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
India’s pace sensation Bhuvneshwar Kumar hasn’t featured in a Test match since January 2018. Multiple injuries kept him away from the purest format of the game as in the past two years he kept going in and out of the team.
However, the exclusion of the sensational cricketer from the playing squad for WTC against New Zealand followed by the five-match Test series against England has raised a lot of eyebrows, considering the fact that Bhuvi has picked 63 wickets in just 21 Test matches.
There were reports in the Times of India that stated Bhuvneshwar Kumar is no longer interested in playing Test cricket for India. But the Indian cricketer has finally rubbished all the rumors.
On Saturday, Bhuvi took to his Twitter and rubbished all the rumors by writing a hard-hitting message. In his tweet, Bhuvi wrote that he has always prepared himself for all three formats irrespective of the team’s selection process. He wrote:
“There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same. Suggestion – please don’t write your assumptions based on “sources”!”
