The conversation then carried on to social media on Instagram well between SKY and his fan, and this has made up for an epic storyline for the fans ahead of the upcoming World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad between India and Australia.
At the Wankhede stadium, in the semi-final on Wednesday, while Suryakumar Yadav was fielding, a fan asked him whether he should book tickets to Ahmedabad, where the final will be played on Sunday. Suryakumar nodded in affirmation suggesting that India will reach the final; this elicited laughter from the crowd in that area.
A reel of this conversation between the fan and Suryakumar Yadav at the Wankhede stadium went viral on Instagram. It also got noticed by Suryakumar, who then commented if the fan had booked the ticket now. The fan gave a heartening response, showering his love for Suryakumar.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t got much chances to bat in the tournament so far. In 6 innings, he’s scored only 88 runs, but he’s mostly come in the last few overs of the game. His best knock came on a tricky pitch in Lucknow against England when he scored 49 runs in 47 balls while most other batters, barring Rohit Sharma, failed to get going. His 49 helped India post a total of 229 against England, who then got bowled out for only 129.
Suryakumar might have to play a crucial role with the bat against Australia when facing the likes of Starc, Cummins, and Hazlewood in the death overs in Ahmedabad.
