Breaking: Suryakumar, Bumrah Send Emails To MI Management Saying They Won't Play Under Hardik Pandya

The rumors and reports of rift among the Mumbai Indians camp continue to spring up after Hardik Pandya was named as the new captain of the franchise, replacing Rohit Sharma.

Following the outrage of the MI and Rohit Sharma’s fans on social media, a day before the auction, rumors spread on social media that senior players Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah have sent emails and letters to the MI management and owners that they don’t wish to play under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.

Only 20 days after being traded back to the Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was announced as the franchise’s new skipper, taking over the reins from the 36-year-old Rohit, who captained MI to 5 IPL titles but had failed to lead them to a final in the last three seasons, in the same period Hardik propelled Gujarat Titans to two consecutive IPL finals, winning the trophy last year and losing this year to CSK.

A day before the IPL 2024 auction, reports claimed that Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah still are unhappy with the appointment of Pandya as the skipper and have expressed it to the team management and the owners.

A Twitter user, @ImHydro45, tweeted: “BREAKING 🚨 : Mumbai Indians players including Bumrah & Suryakumar Yadav are sending emails and letters to the management that they don’t want to play under Hardik Pandya.

Rohit Sharma is their leader.

ROHIT BIGGER THAN MI”
