West Indies’ swashbuckling batsman, Chris Gayle, has become the first ever batsman to smash 700 sixes in T20 cricket. Gayle, who is arguably the most destructive T20 batsman in world cricket, achieved this feat during a Carribean Premier League (CPL) match between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders.
Gayle is the most demanded T20 cricketer in the world and he travels across the world to play T20 cricket for different domestic T20 leagues. Gayle, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL), is the first ever and only batsman to hit 700 sixes in T20 cricket. This record proves that Gayle is the most destructive batsman in T20 cricket.
In terms of hitting sixes in T20 cricket, there is no even close to Chris Gayle. His West Indies teammate Kieron Pollard is second in the list with 412 sixes. This margin proves that Gayle has no competition when it comes to hitting big sixes. Watch the video here:
