West Indies legend Chris Gayle posted a congratulatory and motivational message for his former RCB and PBKS teammate Sarfaraz Khan after the youngster received his maiden call-up to the Indian Test squad.
On Monday, the BCCI named Sarfaraz as the replacement for the injured KL Rahul for the second Test against England, starting February 2 in Vizag. Since Virat Kohli is also unavailable, and India’s batting looked thin in the loss in the first Test match in Hyderabad, there is a chance that both Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan could make their Test debuts in the second Test match. Fans celebrated and congratulated Sarfaraz Khan for his much-awaited maiden call-up to the Test side. Among the messages, one special message came from Chris Gayle, Sarfaraz’s teammate at RCB and Punjab Kings.
Gayle and Sarfaraz spent plenty of seasons together. They were part of the RCB squad from IPL 2015 to 2017 and then were reunited at PBKS from 2019 to 2021 IPL seasons.
Gayle posted a picture of himself with Sarfaraz and captioned it, “Go, get em Sarfaraz Khan.”
In 2016 Chris Gayle had predicted Sarfaraz Khan to become a big player

He has a highest score of 301*.
Sarfaraz’s last innings was a stunning knock of 161 runs in 160 balls against England Lions in Ahmedabad.
