Complete List Of Award Winners At Australian Cricket Awards 2024: Pace-bowling all-rounder Mitchell Marsh bagged the Allan Border Medal for best men’s cricketer of the year 2023 and spin-bowling all-rounder
Ashleigh Gardner took the Belinda Clark Award for the best women’s cricketer of the year 2023 at the 2024 Australian Cricket Awards. The event was held at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on Wednesday.
Mitchell Marsh, who made a thunderous return to Test cricket with a century at Headingley in last year’s Ashes series, beat Pat Cummins by 79 awards to claim the Allan Border Medal. Marsh belted two centuries during the World Cup 2023 in India, and also won the Men’s ODI Player of the Year, while pacer Jason Behrendorff was named the Men’s T20I Player of the Year. Off-spinner Nathan Lyon grabbed the Shane Warne Men’s Test Player of the Year 2023.
For Ashleigh Gardner, this is the second consecutive year in which she’s won the Belinda Clark Award. Gardner had a bumper year across formats with the ball, taking 12 wickets in the Ashes Test, 20 ODI wickets in the year, and 19 wickets in T20Is, which included playing a crucial role in Australia winning the T20 World Cup in South Africa. With the bat, she racked an average of 33 in ODIs and 24 in T20Is.
Women’s all-rounder Ellyse Perry clinched the best women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards.
