Complete List Of Rohit Sharma’s 5 T20I Hundreds

In the 3rd T20I against Afghanistan in Bangalore, Rohit Sharma became the first-ever batsman to raise 5 T20I centuries. He had previously been the joint-most century-scorer with 4 T20I hundreds, tied with Glenn Maxwell and Suryakumar Yadav.

Courtesy of Rohit’s magnificent ton and his fireworks in the two Super Overs at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, India won the game and white-washed Afghanistan.

Rohit Sharma, who is the second-leading T20I run-scorer with 3974 runs, is also now close to the leading T20I run-scorer, Virat Kohli, who has 4037 runs. With both set to feature in the T20 World Cup in June, this race is going to intensify, and it will only help the Indian team.

List of all 5 T20I centuries of Rohit Sharma:

106 vs South Africa, Dharamsala, 2015

Rohit Sharma’s first T20I century came in 2015, two years after he started opening in white-ball cricket, against South Africa in Dharamsala. Sharma scored 106 runs in 66 balls with the help of 12 fours and 5 sixes as India finished with 199. However, this didn’t prove to be enough as JP Duminy smoked 68* in 34 balls to take South Africa over the line with 2 balls to spare.

118 vs Sri Lanka, Indore, 2017

Rohit Sharma’s second T20I ton came against Sri Lanka in 2017 at the Holkar stadium in Indore. Leading the side in the absence of the then skipper Virat Kohli, Rohit was in his element that evening and walloped 12 fours and 10 sixes in his knock of 118 runs in only 43 balls as India posted 260, eventually winning by 88 runs.

100* vs England, Bristol, 2018

Rohit turned up the heat in the series-deciding 3rd T20I against England in 2018 in Bristol as he smashed 100* in 56 balls in the chase of 199, which India completed with 7 wickets in hand and 8 balls to spare. He smacked 11 fours and 5 big ones in that sizzling knock.

111* vs West Indies, Lucknow, 2018

This was Rohit Sharma’s second T20I century as the skipper. Against a toothless West Indies bowling attack, Rohit blazed 111* in 61 balls, hitting 8 fours and 7 sixes, as India amassed 195. West Indies could manage only 124.

121* vs Afghanistan, Bangalore, 2023

Rohit’s fifth and latest century is perhaps the best of all five. India were reduced to 22/4 as the Chinnaswamy pitch behaved atypically two-paced for the first half of India’s innings. But Rohit, keen to bat with the newly-adopted intentful approach, didn’t hold himself and kept on going the aggressive way.

IND vs AFG: List Of Records Rohit Sharma Broke With His Knock Of 121* Runs

He struggled early on but found his groove once the powerplay was done, after which the bowling, too, became ordinary. Rohit reached his fifty in 41 balls and then exploded spectacularly. He brought up his hundred in 64 balls, eventually finishing with 121* in 69 balls, having clobbered 11 fours and 8 sixes. He got a perfect partner in Rinku Singh, who scored 69 runs in 39 balls.

Afghanistan produced a sensational fight with the bat to tie the game. The Super Over, too, got tied before India won in the second Super Over.
