Complete Squad Of Kolkata Knight Riders For IPL 2024: Records were shattered at the IPL Players Auction 2024 as Australia pacer Mitchell Starc became the most expensive purchase in the history of the tournament, surpassing teammate Pat Cummins. Starc was secured by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore after a fierce bidding war with Gujarat Titans. This remarkable acquisition followed Cummins being bought for Rs 20.5 crore by SunRisers Hyderabad in the same auction.
Despite allocating more than half of their purse amount to Starc, KKR managed to secure nine additional players by the end of the auction. The two-time champions also made a notable move by signing young England pacer Gus Atkinson, marking one of the biggest bargains of the event.
