CPL 2020 Fantasy Cricket Tips: Match 12, Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Tallawahs

It was only a couple of days ago that these two teams had gone head to head and it was a thrilling encounter even though it was a low scoring affair. Given the history between these two sides over the years, one can expect another heated game again at the Queen’s Park Oval tonight.
Talking about the positions of these two teams in the points table at the moment, Guyana is at no. 3 with 4 points, while Jamaica seats at the 4th position with only two points at the moment. Guyana’s net run rate is also quite high as compared to that of Jamaica.
Here are our fantasy cricket tips for this much waited encounter tonight –

Pitch Report
This is going to be the second game of the double-header and will be played on the same pitch which will be used for the first game between Barbados and St Kitts. So, it might slow down a little bit and the ball might hold into the surface.
However, the pitch is still expected to play better than the one at Brian Lara Academy the other day which was incredibly difficult for stroke-play.
Predicted playing XI of both teams
Jamaica Tallawahs
Chadwick Walton, Glenn Phillips, Andre Russell, Jermaine Blackwood, Rovman Powell (C), Carlos Brathwaite, Asif Ali, Ramaal Lewis, Fidel Edwards, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Sandeep Lamichhane
Guyana Amazon Warriors
Brandon King, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Ross Taylor, Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, Chris Green (C), Keemo Paul, Imran Tahir, Romario Shepherd and Naveen-ul-Haq
Top Picks

Nobody has timed the ball as sweetly as Glenn Phillips in the Jamaica squad, but the New Zealand wicket-keeper has still not managed to register a big score to his name yet. However, the law of averages suggests he might make a significant impact tonight.
Shimron Hetmyer has been looking to bat a little bit differently in this CPL. Generally, he is a power-play and doesn’t hold back at all while batting in T20 cricket, but he has been a lot more calculative recently, which has helped him find some consistency. The left-hander has already scored a couple of half-centuries in the tournament and looks set for more.

Andre Russell finally scored a fifty in the last game and it came off just 30 odd balls, but it wasn’t enough to get Jamaica over the line. Even though he scored a fifty, Russell was far from his lethal best. For the first 8 balls off his innings, Russell was not even able to open his account and in the process, he put a lot of process on himself while pursuing a tricky chase in a low scoring game. The big man will be itching to have a go at the Guyana bowlers again.
Nobody has successfully picked Mujeeb off his hand in this tournament so far. The batsmen have been constantly trying to read him off the pitch and are getting beaten because the Afghan mystery man is really quick off the deck. Mujeeb doesn’t really give the ball a lot of air. He keeps it really flat and puts enough revs on the ball to get plenty out of the surface. The fact that he can turn the ball both ways from different angles makes him a really tricky customer to deal with.
Captaincy Pick: Andre Russell
Vice-captaincy Pick: Glenn Phillips
Fantasy XI: Nicholas Pooran, Glenn Phillips (VC), Asif Ali, Shimron Hetmyer, Brandon King, Andre Russell (C), Ramaal Lewis, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Imran Tahir, Naveen ul Haq
