February 3 has reportedly been finalized as the date of marriage of Pakistani pace sensation Shaheen Afridi who is going to tie the knot with Ansha, the eldest daughter of former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi.

Now the families of both sides have decided to arrange the marriage for the duo and the preparations for the marriage have already started from both sides. Shahid Afridi himself had last year confirmed that he had selected Shaheen for his daughter and the families had been in talks for a while.
Earlier in the year, Shaheen had expressed his excitement and eagerness at the prospect of his marriage with Ansha. During an interview with Geo Talk show named “Aik Din Geo Kai Sath”, the 22-year-old Shaheen had revealed that it was his wish to marry Ansha.
“It was my wish and Alhumdulillah it is fulfilled now,” Shaheen said. “I met her and will marry her soon”.
The fast bowler is currently rehabilitating for a knee injury that he carried throughout the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, where he helped Pakistan reach the final. He had missed the Asia Cup due to a knee injury but played throughout the T20 WC. However, that injury flared up, and in the important final while taking a catch. Afridi bowled 2.1 overs in the final vs England, which Pakistan lost, before hobbling and leaving the field.
Shaheen Afridi also had undergone an appendectomy last month. He missed the home Test series against England, where Pakistan were whitewashed 3-0 by Ben Stokes’ side. Shaheen is one of the best all-format fast bowlers in the world and has been Pakistan’s bowlin forefront in the past 2-3 years, helping them reach the semis of the 2021 T20 WC and the final of the 2022 T20 WC.
He is the leading international wicket-taker since 2021. In the last two years, Shaheen Afridi has taken 113 international wickets – the most in this period – in 52 matches at a brilliant average of 22.
