Telugu superstar Allu Arjun made big headlines at the 69th National Film Awards earlier this week. The Pushpa actor won the best actor award and wishes poured in from all corners for the revered South India filmstar.

S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR and Sukumar’s PushpaSukumar’s Pushpa – The Rise swept away 10 awards at the 69th National Film Awards, announced on Thursday evening. Allu Arjun won the award for Best Actor (male) for his sensational acting and role in Pushpa – The Rise while debut director Buchi Babu Sana’s Uppena was announced as the Best Feature Film in Telugu language.

Allu Arjun became the first-ever Telugu actor to bag the ‘Best Actor’ Male in the National Film Awards. Celebrations broke out all over India and among the fans of Allu Arjun, which also includes superstar Australian opener David Warner.

Currently resting back at home in Australia, David Warner took to Instagram to congratulate Allu Arjun for his great achievement of bagging the best actor male award. David Warner has come off as a big fan of Allu Arjun and often does mimicry of him on social media. The left-handed opener also did Arjun’s famous Pushpa gesture on Instagram in the past when the movie came out.

Meanwhile, the latest news about David Warner is that he is set to take part in the BBL 2023/24 and the ILT20 2024 early next year. On Monday, the dynamo opener was announced as a signing for Dubai Capitals in ILT20 team for next year’s event that will take place in January and February, but if it overlaps with the latter end of the BBL, David Warner, who is signed with Sydney Thunder, will have to honor his BBL commitments first before heading to the UAE for ILT20.

The 36-year-old has already decided to retire from Test cricket after the Pakistan Test series finishes in early January.
